Today, I am asking for your support in my re-election to the post of the
South Walton Mosquito Control Seat One. I have truly enjoyed serving you
for the past four years. I have worked extremely hard to control
unnecessary spending and to have value returned to you the taxpayer.

The South Walton Mosquito Control is a
Two Million Dollar a year
organization which provides you with 24/7 mosquito control. I am sincerely
proud of our workers and the quality of service that they provide you the
taxpayer.

One of my primary missions will be to have our three-person commission
expanded to a five-person commission to be able
to properly represent you!

Conflict of Interest

                TWO MILLION DOLLAR BUDGET

It is my opinion there is a conflict of interest when you have two brothers
running for the same commission on different seats.  In the event both
brothers are elected to this three-person commission the Crawford family
will dominate the commission.

Several years ago when Mrs. Marge Crawford occupied seat number
three and her son Jim Crawford occupied seat number two, the director's
salary was
$57,272.37. By the end of six years, the director salary was
$114,432.09. That works out to $9,526.62 increase each year.

The choice is yours, I trust that
your common sense tells you it is not
good business to have two family members on a three-person
commission. We have a two million dollar budget, do you want to have
another four years of runaway spending?

Our new director's salary today is $65,000.00. This is a savings of
$49,432.09 per year.

All of the above can be obtained from public record.

Important Information

My two opponents have never attended one single budget meeting of the
Mosquito Control, yet they want you to entrust them with their abilities in the
spending of Two Million Dollars of your hard-earned money. I have worked
diligently to limit and reduce spending without sacrificing quality or service.

Under my strong business leadership, we have reduced the
operational budget without sacrificing jobs or service
!

Leadership Qualities

Credentials:

President/CEO Hi-Tec Laboratories, Inc.,
Freeport, Florida

My wonderful and supportive wife, Patricia,
and I started this company in 1993 with our
savings. Hi-Tec Laboratories, Inc. is a
specialty manufacturing company. Together
we have built this company into a
multi-million-dollar international business,
which we conduct in six countries. Our primary customers are Wal-Mart,
Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, True Value Hardware, Publix, Winn Dixie, and
in many other retail locations.

Patricia and I developed our merchandise and hold the trademarks to
several successful products, which we created from scratch while
providing quality service to our customers.

President/CEO Gulf Stream Plastics, Inc., Freeport, Florida

We purchased this company in 2004. The purpose was to establish our
own blow molding operation. This provides quality containers for our
products. Now, we not  only manufacture products for
Hi-Tec Laboratories, Inc., we also manufacture plastic toys for Wal-Mart
and bottles for several other pharmaceutical companies. My son, David,
runs this company on a day-to-day basis.

Our goal is to become one of the largest privately owned employers in
Walton County. Collectively with the two companies, we employ over 50
people year-round. The majority of our employees are residents of Walton
County. Until you have had to personally make a weekly payroll with your
own money, you cannot appreciate the stress and budgeting one has to do
to ensure proper cash flow. This type of strong, dedicated leadership, and
conviction to detail is what I bring to the South Walton Mosquito Control.

Brief History

Patricia and I were married in 1973.
We are the proud parents of
                                                         two sons, John and David.

John has followed in the family
footsteps and owns and operates his own
business. John currently resides in
Castle Rock, Colorado with his wife
Renee and our grandson,
Ian, who will be three in November.

David and his wife, Ryan, make their home
in Destin along with our granddaughter,
Reagan, who will be two in September,
and our grandson,Archer, born
August 14, 2008.

We have truly been blessed with our family and their accomplishments.
Our boys are devoted family men and are active in their communities.
Patricia and I feel that with our involvement in our church and local
community activities, has built a strong foundation of family values.

I attended Jacksonville State University and majored in business. I am
proud to have served my country and I am a United States Army Veteran,
trained in Chemical Biological Warfare.

We were pleased to move our family to South Walton County in 1982,
which is where we built our home and have resided ever since.

My decision to become involved in mosquito control was brought about by
the events that occurred on September 11th. I decided I wanted to give
back to my community with the talents that I have for the true understanding
of “Chemical Biological Warfare.” Mosquito Control comes under the
Department of Homeland Security and is also considered to be a target
for terrorists. Since I have a significant understanding of Homeland
Security, this is the reason I contacted the South Walton Mosquito Control
and decided to monitor the monthly commission meetings.

I was disgusted with my first impression of the looseness of this
commission. The main concern seemed to be how quick they could finish
the meeting. In addition, I realized that there were two commissioners that
were related to each other. This, of course, can be very awkward for the
third commissioner.

The Need Of A Five-Person Commission

I was elected by you in 2004 to the South Walton Mosquito Control.
Unfortunately, I had to deal with the two commissioners who were related
(they were mother and son) for two years. I can assure you that at times
it was extremely difficult to conduct business considering our commission
has only three seats. At this time, one of my opponents is the brother of
one of the current commissioners. We certainly do not want to have this
kind of conflict of interest casting a dark shadow on our district.

Considering the size of our budget and that it will continue to grow as time
goes on it is imperative that this commission be expanded from three
commissioners to five commissioners.

I want to provide you a safe and healthy environment. I believe in a
preventive maintenance program to prevent the outbreak of mosquitoes
and the diseases they transmit. Our last resort should be in using
chemicals. This has been our mission and the reason for our on-going
success. This commission requires strong leadership and common sense.
The South Walton Mosquito Control has had some unfortunate shaky
times. With the recent suspension of one of our commissioners, due to the
two felony convictions, it is even more important that I am re-elected.
Otherwise, you could have three new commissioners who have never
attended any budget meetings, and will be
spending your
Two Million Dollars.

This is frightening, but it is all a fact!
